The PCE-MPC 10 serves as a compact handheld particle counter designed for monitoring airborne particulate matter (PM) concentrations. Primarily crafted to assist in assessing indoor air quality (IAQ), this device also gauges air temperature and relative humidity (RH). It can be powered using the rechargeable battery or the USB port, with the latter also facilitating battery charging.

The particle counter is capable of taking measurements while the battery is charging, ensuring uninterrupted IAQ monitoring. Featuring an integrated data logger with adjustable sampling times of 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, or 5 minutes, the internal memory can store up to 5000 data sets, each timestamped with date and time.

Displaying all measurements simultaneously on its 2" full-color LCD screen, the particle counter allows users to choose temperature units in either degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F). A color-coded scale beneath the measured values provides a visual alert, transitioning from green (safe) to violet (extreme danger). This intuitive color-coded system enables quick identification of hazardous PM concentration levels, facilitating prompt action.

PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles, when inhaled, can penetrate deep into the lungs, causing adverse health effects.
